The National Ballet’s Nutcracker

The National Ballet’s Nutcracker

The first time that The Nutcracker was presented was in the city of St. Petersburg in Russia in 1892.  It is a tale of the wonderment of a child’s mind and over time it also grown to become synonymous with the celebration of Christmas.  To that end, The National Ballet of Canada started performing their version of The Nutcracker at The Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts on the 8th of this month and the current tour will be wrapping up shortly on December 30th.  There are still tickets left for the December 28th at 1PM and December 30th …read more

The 2008 Green Reel Environmental Film Festival

The City Playhouse Theatre is set to be host to one of the most interesting events of early 2008 when they roll out the red carpet (or rather, should that be the green carpet?) for the 2008 Green Reel Environmental Film Festival.
