Toronto Tourism Tendencies: Air Canada Centre

Air Canada Centre in Toronto, from the Wikimedia Archives

From one sports venue to another, the Air Canada Centre is one of the newest sports venues to be constructed within the City of Toronto.  It is home to the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Toronto Rock and the Toronto Raptors (hockey, lacrosse and basketball respectively).  It is a great place to visit because the atmosphere inside during a sporting event is unparalleled in any other venue I’ve been to either inside or outside of the city and therefore if you are a sports fan, taking in a game at the Air Canada Centre is most definitely the thing to do.

Aside from sports games, the Air Canada Centre also acts as a venue for a number of different things.  The lobby of the ACC is filled with mini-booths where activities can go on (and during Leaf games there are a number of activities for people to do while they are waiting for the game to start) and of course the inside of the arena can be changed in order to accommodate different events such as concerts and public speaking festivities.  The ACC functions as much more than just a sporting venue (like the Rogers Centre) and this is why it makes our list of the most famous Toronto Tourism Tendencies.
