Further to the Travel & Culture Channel’s “By the Numbers with b5media Travel & Culture Channel” post from a short while ago, I thought it might be cool to do something with a similar title just on my own.  My take on things is a bit different however, as here are some numerical figures to help you understand Toronto by the Numbers better!

Fact #1: Toronto has approximately 5,300 km of roads inside the city limits.

Fact #2: There are over 7,000 km of sidewalks inside Toronto’s city limits

Fact #3: In total, there are 530 bridges located within the City of Toronto.

Fact #4: There are over 2,000 traffic lights within the city.

Fact #5: There are over 1,000,000 signs within the city (I feel sorry for the city employee that was given the task of compiling this little tidbit).

So there you have it, five facts about the city that help you see Toronto by the Numbers.  All of these facts were pilfered from the City of Toronto website (located on the sidebar if you want to check it out), so they come straight from the horse’s mouth!
