TPOD: An Empty Rogers Centre

A nifty little picture of the Rogers Centre, home of Toronto’s professional baseball franchise, before the start of a game. The seats are empty, which creates a nice opportunity for a photo op.

Have you been this year? What do you think of the Jays pitching staff? They really seemed to gell end of last year and seem to be off to a good start this year.
It’s a tough division but hopefully they have a great year!
Hey Alex,
I haven’t actually been to the Rogers Centre yet this year, because I’ve had a crazy schedule at school this year (thank God I only have a year left before I can get a break), but I plan to go sometime in early May. I usually catch 5-10 games a year because the tickets are only $9, cheaper than a movie in Toronto!
As to the pitching staff, I was very impressed with the first couple of rotations through it, now let’s hope that they can keep it up. The Jays problem for the last few seasons has been consistency and that has prevented them from living up to the great team they were/are on paper.
While we’re constantly screwed by being in the same division as the Yankees and Red Sox, I’m convinced that consistent play could have us in the hunt for that title come September.
Only time will tell though.
I really hope so too, I think I’ve said before that the Jays are my baseball team, always have been as I was born in Toronto.
And yeah stinks the Jays have to be in the division with the 2 biggest spending teams but I totally agree that the Jays have a chance this year (as they’ve had the past couple). I think the pitching staff has a chance to be dominant as long as they stay healthy which is a big *if*.
Go Jays!
