The Toronto Traveler

Great Picture

by Justin on October 25th, 2007

CN Tower, Toronto

So I’ve been a bit light on time in the last 24-hour period or so and I thought I’d take a look and see if there were any cool pictures floating around of the ultimate Toronto landmark; the CN Tower.

The CN Tower used to be the world’s tallest free-standing structure, having very recently lost that honour to a building that is still under construction within the United Arab Emirates.  It is still a very tall tower however and it is also a great place both for native Torontonians and tourists to visit because of the great events available inside the tower (not to mention the view).  I’m actually planning to do a series later on specifically about the CN Tower, so I won’t say much more than that on it right now.

In any case, this is a great picture I found of it (much better than anything I’ve taken myself I should point out), taken from the Rogers Centre (formerly known as the SkyDome), the place where the Toronto Blue Jays and Toronto Argonauts play in the MLB and CFL respectively.  This picture is freely available for distribution from the Wikimedia Image Commons, so feel free to use it yourself if you want.

We’re just days away from Halloween, so tomorrow I’ll be getting back to my series on Hogtown Halloween 2007!
