Venue

Sherway Gardens might be referred to as a shopping mall by some and while that would be accurate, it would at the same time be incomplete.  Sherway Gardens is much more than a shopping mall and indeed functions much like either the North York Centre or the Scarborough Centre in other parts of the city.  Located in Etobicoke, Sherway Gardens is a place that people can visit not only to shop, but also to get in touch with lower level city officials and attend events being put on by the local community.  Open from 10 AM to 9 PM on weekdays, it represents one of the regional hubs of Toronto and therefore it is not surprising to see events like the organic workshop hosted there.

Event

The workshop should be very interesting for anyone interested in organic living and it should actually be some fun for parents as well.  Sesame Street is a big part of the festivities, with both Elmo and The Cookie Monster set to make appearances throughout the workshop.  There will also be a chance for parents to read up on healthy living as well as chances for their hits to both read and colour, expressing themselves while learning about organic living at the exact same time.  There will also be organic snacks for both parents and kids available at no charge, although for a full meal a trip into the Gardens and the food court is definitely a possibility.

All in all, the Earth’s Best Organic Workshop should make for good family fun or individual education, depending on which one you prefer!
