Well well well, I don’t get the chance to post for a few days and still there are only three interesting stories available from the news sites I browse for this segment.  I guess Toronto’s in a rut right now for interesting travel news, although if you are interested in daily Toronto news that is not necessarily travel-centric, there’s a lot of it that you can get from a number of different websites.  I’ll probably talk about those websites soon enough and add them to the blogroll.

Well, it appears that even though it hasn’t snowed in Toronto for awhile and even though there is no snow anywhere on the ground, city officials are still having problems with the weather.  In particular, the wind.  And that is what kicks off this edition of news from Toronto that travelers might find interesting.
1) Hydro crews are still scrambling to try and fix much of the fallout that has come from damages caused by heavy winds.

1) GO Transit is meeting with union representatives in a last ditch effort to avoid a strike.
2) Wheel flies off truck on the 401 and hits a car, but thankfully nobody was hurt too seriously.
3) Security scare at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport results in the arrest of one man.

One of the things that I absolutely love about living in Toronto is the fact that there are so many artists around.  While there are a lot of visual artists around, this particular post is about someone that is very fun to watch in the performing art of music.
