Well, at least we get to watch Sidney Crosby…
The Leafs have been lackluster, even by the low standards we Toronto fans already have of the team. It is quite interesting how a fan base can expect their team to win every game, yet be so expectant of failure at the same time and I’m not sure any other fan base is as good at contradicting itself as the Leafs fan base is.
But, that aside, the Toronto Maple Leafs are set to play the Pittsburgh Penguins saturday evening at the Air Canada Centre. Pittsburgh is one of the most exciting teams in the league to watch because of players like Crosby, Staal, Malkin, Armstrong, Christiansen and Gonchar and despite their low ranking of 12th in the east at the same time (with Toronto being ranked two places above then at 10th), I would be willing to argue that the Pens have a much better chance of making the playoffs this year than the Leafs do.
In any case, it will be an exciting game to watch, so make sure you’re by a television (or even at the centre if you feel like being there live) at 7pm saturday evening when the game starts.

I must say Leafs fans are some of the most loyal in all of sports (even if they get pissed at the team a lot-they have good reason to be).
But the waiting list for season tickets is incredible. I took a sports marketing class in grad school and my prof used to be a VP of basketball operations for the NBA and he said that in order to get Leafs season tickets you also had to buy Raptors season tickets! And Leafs fans were buying them because they love the Leafs that much. Brilliant marketing scheme.
